I'm looking for good slow cooker recipes.

Nothing spicy, my kids won't eat it. I make pot roast and beef stew all the time. Looking to switch it up.

Cook's Illustrated has a very good new book entitled "The Slow Cooker Revolution." The recipes are explicitly designed for use in a slow cooker.

I've found the Pioneer Woman's Tasty Kitchen site very helpful with slow cookers and I'd also recommend the Williams Sonoma Slow Cooker cookbook. I got the book and the slowcooker as a wedding gift. I stared at it for a while, found it mildly offensive for a bit, but then I got used to it.

I can make some really good soups, stews, pulled pork, and taco meat (carne guisado is really good in the cooker), slow cooked beans. I recently got a mini slow cooker to make my morning oatmeal. works wonderfully.

Many of the stew and roast recipes on this site can be easily converted to the slow cooker. I like Williams-Sonoma's slow cooker recipes; check at their site for some inspiration. I've made 2 recipes here on the site: A Bowl of Red and Secret Ingredient Stew in the slow cooker and good ol' chicken soup.
