A question about a recipe: The Snake Bite

I have a question about the recipe "The Snake Bite" from arielleclementine I am converting this to cupcakes so 1) does 1 cake = 12 cupcakes and 2) can I just straight double it?

hi friend! i would say you're right on both counts. i've never made this as cupcakes, but heard that it worked out from a friend who did. i'd fill 'em about 2/3 of the way, and i think you'd get about 24 from a double batch of batter. see you at the farmers' market!
