I'm sorry it was not clear: I used 8x3 inch pans, and the batter makes two pan-fulls. Thus, the picture shows just half of what the batter yields. I like to serve the pictured version with tea and coffee, but obviously you could make it as a layer cake too. It also freezes very well.
2 Cakes with an 8" diameter.
(And the creamiest, too.)
