Borrowed a crockpot for an event. Never used one before. Have questions.

How long does it take to heat up? Does it have to be filled with the soup prior to heating? Is it better if the soup is hot when it's added?

It can take up to 20 minutes for mine to fully heat up. It can help to pour boiling water in the crock and dump it to preheat the crock for faster heat up times. If your just holding the soup for service, yes, its better if your heat it up first. Hope that helps.
