A question about a recipe: Saffron Semifreddo with Cherry-Cardamom Syrup and Salted Honey-Hazelnuts

I have a question about the recipe "Saffron Semifreddo with Cherry-Cardamom Syrup and Salted Honey-Hazelnuts" from Brenna. I don't have a stand mixer. Can i just use a wooden spoon or spatula to incorporate the vermouth into egg mixture?
