Aunt Mariah's Lemon Sponge Cups -- made ahead?

Can I make these luscious looking sponge cups the day before and refrigerate?  Will I lose anything by doing this?

I would not recommend making these ahead of time. The magic of the delicate sponge will deflate and not be as delicious.
