I have a question about the recipe "Spring Picnic Pea Salad" from thirschfeld. I can't find fresh peas where I live (a tiny city by Lake Erie) so I wonder if lightly cooked peas would be sacrilege?

Fresh are better but you can substitute frozen peas. Be very careful not to overcook them so they don't become mushy
