A 10" pan that is at least 3 inches high would work perfectly...so a 10" springform pan? volume = 9x13x2=234 volume=5x5x3.15x3=236.25

I know what you mean but the directions call for a 9x13x2 pan which holds 15 cups. An 10" round holds 11 cups. It should be fine in a bundt pan, even with apples and dates

thanks! the picture shows a round cake, not a rectangular one... so i thought there might be a prescribed size -- say a 10" pan 2" high. not sure a bundt pan would be optimal with the dates and apples....?

I think you might need to use 2 round cake pans - 8x2 for the amt of batter; or you could half the recipe or try a 10" bundt pan
