Will fresh corn stop my raw kidney beans from cooking?

I'm cooking dry kidney beans and will add fresh cut corn at some point. I know that adding acidic ingredients to the pot will stop the beans from cooking, which is why I'm waiting to add the tomatoes and jalapeƱos, but will corn create the same problem?

I've found the answer myself. It turns out the pH of kidney beans is 5.4 and corn's is 5.9. The beans are more acidic so it shouldn't be a problem if I add the corn now.
