I have a question about the recipe "Homemade Green Bean Casserole" from brooke's kitchen. im just wondering if evaporated milk would work as a substitute for half and half
As long as you're using unsweetened evaporated milk (and not sweetened condensed milk) it should be okay. If you're worried about not having the creamy flavor from the higher milk fat content then you can also substitute milk with butter for the half and half instead of evaporated milk.
