I have a question about the recipe "Grandma's White Cake with Maple Syrup Frosting" from jvcooks. Is the frosting in this recipe dense enough to go between two layers of this cake?
Hmm. I would think not. Cake layers may slide since this frosting seems to be more of the flowing kind. But I have never made it before so I am just speculating.
It looks more like a glaze.
I've not made it, but based on the ingredients I'm also in the "no" category. A maple buttercream would have a similar flavor and would work between layers. http://www.marthastewart...
