Can you freeze quinoa and if yes for how Long?

p.s. for how long? i would guess 6 months or more. don't know if ice crystals would affect the flavor after that...or not.

I do the same as Cynthia. I just froze a big batch of cooked wheatberries that i can add to soups and grain dishes with ease. I don't know if you live in the U.S. and have a Trader Joe's near you, but they sell a frozen quinoa and butternut squash mix that is very tasty.

When cooking any kind of grain or bean, I always make more than I need at the moment and freeze the rest. By all means, scoop it into a ziplock bag, press it flat and freeze it for a future moment when you need to pull a rabbit out of the hat. http://thesolitarycook.wordpress.com/2013/04/22/meatless-monday-quinoa-cakes/
