I typically start with jalapeño popper dip with bagel chips and then peppery pulled pork with crisp apple slaw.

Or blt dip and sweet n spicy wings.

Today I'm switching it up, French onion soup, pork tenderloin with chutney and braised collard greens. And grilled garlic cheesy bread with roasted asparagus and cherry tomatoes.

Try Graciosa Bread, bread made famous by local bakery of Cebu City, Julie's Bakeshop which now operating with many branches nationwide in philippines. I know for sure it'll be very easy for you to make it too, a little bigger than a bite size bread, fluffy and soft, with sweet, cream, butter like cheese taste, with pineapple twist bread..if you know how to make that already well and good, or if not you can try searching for it.

Oh, I forgot one important element of the meatballs! You'll need two jars of a plain pasta sauce (tomato based) added at the same time as the grape jelly :)

This totally doesn't belong on a site like this but I make my Mom's version of grape jelly meatballs and people LOVE them. For a big crowd I get frozen, cooked beef meatballs in 6 lb. bags. I use about half the bag and one large jar (32 oz I think) of grape jelly. In a large dutch oven on medium-high heat I soften (no oil) one medium diced onion sprinkled with a little salt. Then add a few cloves minced garlic. Then a few tablespoons of chili powder to toast slightly. Deglaze with about 1/2 cup red wine. Add the grape jelly, about 2 tablespoons grated horseradish, salt and pepper to taste and a few squeezes of sriracha, depending on how hot you like it. Just be careful, it sneaks up on you fast! Then add the meatballs along with a few splashes of liquid smoke. Cover, turn down the heat to medium-low and cook for about 20 minutes to blend flavors. You can leave the pot on the stove with some forks, plates and toothpicks, turning the heat on every once in a while to keep hot or just put in a crockpot.

Another family favorite is Shrimp Dip. to a crockpot add one medium diced onion, 4-8 oz. packages of cream cheese, 2 lbs. cooked, chopped, seasoned (with Old Bay) peeled shrimp - leave them kinda chunky. Add about 3 or 4 small fresh, diced tomatoes (seeded and jelly squeezed out). Lastly add pickled jalapenos, chopped - start with about 1 tablespoon and taste for heat. It it should have a little kick, but again it depends on your taste. Cover and cook on medium-low setting for at least one hour. Stir well before serving with Frito's Scoops - there is no substitute for these! Enjoy!

I love quality food prepared well, but sometimes you just want peanut butter and jelly on white bread. Classics are classics for a reason.

I wish I had a plate of the meatballs in front of me right now! Nothing wrong with a little grape jelly.
