I've only had a few silicon pans and have thrown them all out. They were way too flexible and didn't hold up (muffin pans needed a pan under to be put into the oven -- otherwise batter everywhere!). Hated them. I used metal and parchment, although I do like my silpat liners when they fit the pan...
I think it depends on what you are making...when I make pumpkin bread, I always use my glass loaf pans rather than my silicon ones. I use mainly metal and glass, though I am starting to use silicon a little more. In the case of the loaves of bread, I think that the glass pans keep a better loaf shape than the silicon pans.
I have all metal bake pans, and I end up using a ton of parchment paper. Personally, I have been leaning towards replacing all if my metal trays with silicon ones. :)
