I have a question about the recipe "Pepper crusted salmon cakes with horseradish sauce" from fiveandspice. Has anyone tried baking these instead of pan frying?

i would rarely advise baking a cake/patty that is meant to be fried. The frying gives them a caramelized crust, just like grilling gives something a smoky flavor and often a bit of char.
You COULD bake them, but they would lose a key flavor and texture element .
Multiple regular-sized cakes > a big one.
