1/2 cup soy sauce (I like low sodium)
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
2 teaspoons sambal oelek
4 scallions, white and light green sliced and finely chopped, dark green sliced on an extreme bias for garnish
2 cloves garlic, smashed and finely chopped
1 1/2 inches ginger, peeled and grated
Peanut oil, for searing
Which kind of tataki do you have in your mind? Would be super if you post a URL of an image :) Soy sauce and lemon would be easily available. And spice up with additional sesame oil, herbs, pepper etc. Which kind of taste do you want and what kind of ingredients are available?
