A question about a recipe: Pear and Cranberry Cake

I have a question about the recipe "Pear and Cranberry Cake" from cristinasciarra. Would love advice on whether this might work just as well in a different pan? I don't own a bunt pan.

I have not made this cake, but I switch out pans all the time. Depending on your pan size, the timing will be different. Two 9" round cake pans will take more like 40 minutes. I would check at 35 minutes and watch it closely.

It will work, but you have to be diligent about checking for doneness because the suggested cooking time will not be accurate.
