Is it possible that pulverizing a potato/leek soup in the vitamix would diminish the flavour?

Since we're on Vitamix topic: Here's the original 1949 infomercial.
It's rather Misogynistic with allusions to the garden of Eden and downfall of man.
And only a guy (with a wallet) can save his household by buying a vitamix for the little lady.

That's hilarious. I couldn't watch the whole thing, but my goodness Mr. Barnard has quite the camera presence.

I have an older vitamix. It makes potato soup right in the canister. The friction of the blades cooks the soup. I'm guessing that's also a benefit with the newer models.
I never had a problem with flavor. Usually it's not enough salt or a week stock that diminishes the flavor.

Was your target a very thick soup? I think the 'glue' problem would happen with a thick soup.

I think when you over process potatoes and they turn to glue, it does affect the flavor.

A friend did that. Came out like glue.
I wouldn't do it.

I think that the texture could be compromised not the flavor
