Curly fries. What's the spice? How can I make them at home. Not worried about the curly part. Just the texture and flavor.

So, after doing some research, I think it's a combo of the usual suspect seasonings (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt) plus corn starch, AND two unexpected things: dried yeast (nutritional yeast) and a little yellow cornmeal, which makes sense because they have that slightly gritty texture and the nutritional yeast would give it a funky cheese flavor. If you try that, let me know how it turns out!

The spice on curly fries tastes a lot like seasoned salt, more specifically Lawry's Seasoned Salt. Try that. As for the texture, a double-fry is needed.
