Cauliflower leaves

Got a couple of cauliflowers with full leaves intact from the CSA. I'm sure you can eat them (the leaves) but I've never cooked or eaten them before, so I'm curious about any particular preparations people are familiar with. Also wondering if they can be eaten raw. Since I don't know the answer to that, I haven't tasted them yet, so if anyone has any comments regarding how they taste, I'd be curious about that too. Looking for relatively simple preparations, btw -- I am very time-challenged these days! Thanks in advance.

They also go great thrown in soup, chicken soup or vegetable soup, any where there are already a few vegetables. They taste like a milder version of cauliflower, maybe a little cabbagey. As far as I know they're fine to eat raw but I've never eaten more than a nibble.

Steam in a bit of water, or braise w olive oil and onions, a little garlic. Salt and pepper. Top w a poached egg and voila- dinner! Many obvious variations, add red pepper flakes, cayenne, cumin, smoked paprika, seasoning meat, other vegetables... Also love it in butter w garlic, stewed, then stir in raw rice and cook like a pilau, w an egg you have supper. Lemon juice or vinegar are good seasonings, too. Hope you have lots!
