A question about a recipe: Rigatoni with Sausage, Peas and Fresh Ricotta

I have a question about the recipe "Rigatoni with Sausage, Peas and Fresh Ricotta" from Aliwaks. Do I drain the tomatoes before milling?

The recipe makes no mention of that, so just dump the can directly into your food mill.

The sauce is cooked for 2+ hours so much of the water will evaporate anyhow.
