A question about a recipe: James Beard's Strawberry Shortcakes

I have a question about the recipe "James Beard's Strawberry Shortcakes" from Genius Recipes. Help! Would these be good for a late summer outdoor potluck? They'll probably sit around for an hour or two before being eaten. Outdoor temp should be in the low 70s with mild humidity. Thanks!

I would bring the components (shortcakes, strawberries, whipped cream) and let people assemble when they want to eat it. Keeps the shortcakes from getting soggy, though strawberry-soaked biscuits isn't necessarily a bad thing.
