I have a woderful chocolate coconut cake recipe that uses a 9 x 5 loaf pan. How cvan I convertit to use a 9" round springform pan??

The surface area of the springform is about 64 sq. in., the loaf pan 45. So to get aprox. the same depth, you would have to increase the recipe amounts about 30%. This should cook about the same, but keep a close eye- it will behave a bit differenrtly.
