I have a question about the recipe "Apple Dumplings" from Erin McDowell. Can I make ahead of time and freeze? If so, best to freeze unbaked or baked?

These dumplings are (modified) versions of an apple pie (pie dough wrapping plus apple filling). And those pies can be frozen well, baked or unbaked, about 3-4 months.
Like overnight, but easier.
