What do i do if i put the meringue on and i have to store it overnight?

I'm making a lemon meringue pie and need to store it overnight but did not realize that it will weep if the topping stays on.

If the meringue is already done, there's not much you can do. Was it a traditional lemon meringue pie with just a simple French meringue?
