In addition, there are web sites with planning charts. Here are results of one search, and one particular site.

Whole chickens? Boneless thighs, breasts? A whole rotisserie chicken serves 4 people, with ample portions, so I would do 10 whole chickens.

I agree...Costco has the best rotisserie chicken that I use for just about every chicken dish, especially during the summer and reasonably priced, made fresh throughout the day.
It would be a time savers using them and adding your sauce. Wonderful flavor!

Well, a decent sized hamburger has a patty that is probably about a third of a pound, so the ballpark number would be one-half pound to three-quarters of a pound of cooked meat per person.

If you go three-quarters of a pound per person, there will likely be some leftovers which isn't necessarily a bad thing for pulled meat which freezes and reheats well.

One thing, if this is the sole main course, you may want to bump it up to a pound a person.

You didn't mention whether or not there were other main courses, the side dishes, or if this was part of a potluck (like at a football tailgate) or similar situation.

Also, we don't know who your dinner guests are (athletes? teenagers? little old ladies?). That would also influence how much to make.

Anyhow, good luck.
