Banana bread platter

When I serve a loaf cake, I usually use a rectangular serving platter. They are called sandwich trays and they are just the right size. I still cover them in plastic wrap using a trick from my mother: stand a few toothpicks in the corners and down the middle of the cake to keep the wrap from clinging to the surface of the cake and "skinning" it when removed. Wrap the ends of the wrap under the tray.

I really like a plain white tray like this. No cover tho..

There are many cheese boards with glass covers come in all different shapes and sizes that would work well. Amazon has quite a few so does eBay. Most are bamboo boards with glass dome lids. Did see rectangular ones on Amazon. Sometimes second hand stores have interesting serving pieces as well.
