can I heat hard candy to liquid and will it re set and Harden again

I don't really know- I was leaning "creamtea's" opinion but HalfPint says it's possible.

I think it would likely burn, but I suppose you could experiment to see. Let us know what it is you are trying to accomplish with this and perhaps we can be of more help. There are recipes for home-made candies that are enjoyable if you wanted to work from scratch. What would be your goal in melting and re-forming hard candy?
