Rose, what recipe did you use? If it's the cake by drbabs recently featured here, then, based on the photos and instructions, I would say, "No." It looks like a moist cake, but a fairly traditional one. If it's custardy on the bottom, that suggests that it may not have been baked long enough, especially if the problem was mostly in the middle of the cake.
