The bread rises too fast and cracks. Have you ever let the dough rise before cooking?

No, I have never let the dough rise before baking. The top always cracks, which is intended but otherwise I've never had problems. I like this bread as a fast way of getting bread when needed but mostly make slow rising, sourdough breads which take a day or two to make.
