As a cake this does take for.ev.er to bake! I ***love*** this recipe and have made it many times- i like to use a wider and more shallow pan to bake in, or i make the recipe as muffins or mini muffins which take less time to bake and also bake more evenly

I've made this cake a few times, and I'd say yes keep going. Baking time for any recipe is a guideline, not a hard rule. If your oven is running cold, or you're baking your cake in different material than the recipe, all these things can effect baking time. The first time I made this cake, the top felt set to me and a toothpick came out clean - when I served it I found the middle was gummy and under baked! Bake the cake until you think it's done, even if that's more than 60min.
