Can you assemble ahead, or is it better to bake then re-heat?

Hi! Assembling the casserole a day in advance, then baking it when you're ready to eat should be no problem. But if it's not too much trouble, I might hold off on adding the bread crumbs (the last step) until right before it goes in the oven, to help them get as crispy as possible.
