What temperature should the butter be?

Hi Amy, thanks for this question! The butter should be cold (just adjusted the recipe to include this detail).

Sometimes, as in pie crusts and such, the directions may say chilled butter, however in the absence of specific instructions to the contrary, butter should be at room temperature in most baking recipes.
