The recipe makes a little over 3.5 Lbs. I don't recommend 1Lb loaves unless you like them small. 1.5Lb/24oz/680g loaves would be a good place to start. Or, just divide the dough equally in half and make two loaves from this recipe and they will be about the right size at ~800g.
