Step five states to remove the cobs, what do you do with the vanilla pod and kernels?

Hmmm.... Good question! I would definitely remove both the corn cobs and vanilla bean pod. The recipe gives no direction on whether to strain out the corn kernels, but enlarging the photo there appears to be several kernels on the second plate. I would say it is your call.... straining out the corn would definitely give you a creamy dessert, but I think you would sacrifice some corn flavor and perhaps a serving in volume. Personally, as there is added texture with the rosemary shortbread and the blueberry compote, I would leave the corn in there, too.
