From making similar soups, I would say yes. And it will probably taste even better for having the time for the flavors to mix.

Make almost to the last step, but don’t add the cream or garnishes. Cover and chill.

Before serving, heat up, add the cream and mix. Serve plain or with your choice of garnishes.
