What type of chocolate chips would I use?

Would I use semi-sweet chip or dark chocolate?

Hi Anna Katherine!

Either would totally work here, but seeing as there is a good amount of chocolate used, semi-sweet might be a little bit more balanced.

Hope this helps!

For rich, gooey cookies, go with semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips—they melt perfectly! Want a CarX Street Drive twist? Think of these chips as your car upgrades: dark chocolate for speed, milk for balance, and white for luxury. Just like tuning your ride, the right chips make all the difference. It's up to you (and what you think the people you share the cookies with will prefer). If you tend to select milk chocolate when eating table chocolate (bars, etc.), pick semi-sweet. If you prefer dark chocolate, pick that.

Note that the chocolate chips are mixed into the batter at the end. This is typical for chocolate chip cookies. That means you have the option to split the batter in multiple parts and add different chips to each portion. Therefore you can test out different chips if you are uncertain of your own tastes.

Best of luck.
