Hello!!! I can't wait to try this recipe :D. Can I substitute light corn syrup for maple syrup or agave syrup? I could not find it where I live :(

Hi Karina!

Echoing Nancy, I do think any of the syrupy sweeteners like honey, agave and maple would likely work here.

Honestly the best option to my mind would be to use the processed, "fake" maple syrup that's sometimes called pancake syrup. It is often almost entirely made of light corn syrup and then flavored with maple syrup.

Hope this helps!

Gracias a Google Translate:
Por supuesto, estos jarabes: maíz, dorado, arroz integral, malta de cebada o jarabe de azúcar simple.
También, melaza o miel.
Probablemente esté bien, jarabe de agave. Si se usa esto, las variedades oscuras o ámbar tendrán un sabor más cercano al jarabe de arce.

Original:
For sure, these syrups: corn, golden, brown rice, barley malt or simple sugar syrup.
Also – molasses or honey.
Probably ok – agave syrup. If using this, the dark or amber varieties will be closer to maple syrup in taste.
