yes, they're better now. cooling. it's been a while since i made this recipe and now i recall that i've had this issue before with this recipe. and i think before i've also wondered if somehow the presence of so many finely chopped nuts makes me think they're not done or slows the cooking or something. but too, it is a bad oven; i have two thermometers in it and they give me different readings. i've tried resetting it, to little avail. one day i'll replace it. and/or move.

Are they totally cool? If not they may firm up a little as they cool.
