Is Sweet Piquante Peppers a Chili Pepper?

I use the Mild Whole Sweet Piquante Peppers by Peppadew often. Are they considered a chili pepper and qualify for this week's contest? I can't seem to come up with a answer/confirmation searching the web, the brand website or wikipedia. Wikipedia did state it was in the Caspium family. Thanks.
