I have a question about the ingredient "ouzo (optional)" on the recipe "Leek, Lemon, and Feta Quiche" from Feeding the Saints (A. C. Parker).

Thanks, Amanda, for answering. I have used Pastis (which is my husband's aperitif of choice) as an ouzo substitution many times. Anything anise-flavored would definitely do the trick, as you say.

Are you looking for a substitute? If so, Pernod or any other anise-flavored liquor would work.
