I have a bag of frozen cherries i need to use...need new muffin recipe.

I would say a good sour cream muffin or coffee-cake-turned-muffin recipe for cherries! Here is one I've made before from Baking Bites:

I substitutes light brown sugar for white sugar and experimented with a tiny cake flour substitution but this is a really solid recipe.

Chocolate chip cookies with (dried) cherries and almonds or walnuts are delicious; might be fun to toss some chopped dark chocolate - or chips - and nuts into the muffins along with the frozen cherries. (Unless you're trying to make strictly healthy muffins, or something crazy like that ;-)
