It's so easy. You need a wire mesh or cheesecloth for the lid and you simply screw the wire band around that so you can drain the water directly from the jar because you rinse them once a day until they sprout. OK, so the "recipe" is essentially this: Soak the lentils in water in the mason jar over night. Drain. And then rinse once a day and drain until they sprout. I rest the jar inside down on my dish rack between rinsings. When the sprouts start you can sit the jar near direct light to develop the chlorophyll. And that's it! You'll have sprouts in about 3-4 days. I started that batch on Sunday. You can sprout all sorts of legumes!!
