Peel and slice two tart green apples, melt 3tbs of butter and 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar in a 6 inch skillet till just combined, turn off heat.
Arrange your sliced apples in a pretty circle. Turn the heat back on and cook over medium low till caramel bubbles up around the fruit. Don't stir it, and don't let it get too dark. Apples should be just tender.
Cover the skillet of apples and caramel with your chilled crust, pop in the oven, and bake till the crust is done. Rest for ten minutes, turn out onto a plate. Eat.
