Mushroom pate is super simple to make, sauté mushrooms in butter with a little sherry or white wine, lemon juice, and olive oil, then pulse in a food processor with salt, pepper, and some herbs. Makes a great base for pasta sauces, or perfect just spread on crusty bread.
