Have you ever had #shakshouka? It is believed to be a #NorthAfrican dish, but it is also popular in #Palestine. It is made of runny fried #eggs #sunnysideup on a bed of #onion #garlic #chili and chopped tomatoes. The spices I used are chilipowder #cumin #paprika and #blackpepper. I added some #chickpeas, and #parsley for garnish. It was served with #avocado #sesame toast. I toasted the sesame seeds to bring out their flavors and for an additional crunch. Great #brunch #breakfast lunch if you like it powerful, strong and #spicy. To make it: fry onion, garlic and chili in olive oil until soft. Add a Tin of good quality diced tomato, a tin of tomato sauce and let it simmer until reduced. Heavily season with cumin, paprika, salt and pepper, and add cooked chickpeas (you can get them from a can). Make some holes, crack your eggs in serve, cover the pan and cook the eggs until the whites are no longer runny. Garnish as desired and serve with avocado toast or triangles of toasted pitta bread, Bon appetit. #notcontest
