Blueberry Lemon Muffins

3/4 cup each white and whole grain flour
1/4 cup ground flax
1/4 cup wheat bran
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
The zest of one lemon
1/4 cup neutral tasting oil or melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries (not thawed)

Mix dry separate from liquids, then blend together without over mixing. Gently fold in blueberries. Makes 12 standard size muffin Bake at 400F for 18-22 minutes.
