Hibiscus & rose bitters and hibiscus rose syrup. For bitters: in jar, combine several tablespoons of dried hibiscus flowers, the peel of one lemon, some dried gentian root, a small splash of rose water, honey, and cloves. Fill with vodka. Let steep two weeks, shaking daily. Then strain into bitters bottles. For syrup: combine equal parts water and sugar, along with a healthy serving of dried hibiscus. Bring to a boil, then simmer, covered, for four minutes. Add a few drops of rose water. Pour into jars and let steep overnight. Strain, and add a splash of vodka. Keep refrigerated.
