4 cups flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1 cup frozen butter, grated
1 1/2 cups milk
pinch of salt
Add flour, salt and baking powder to a large mixing bowl. Add grated butter (it's easiest to just grate it into bowl). Combine using the handle of a wooden spoon. Add milk, stir until combined. Gently knead into ball. Roll out dough to desired shape. I go with either a circle or rectangle, depending on how many I need and what size I want them to be.
Either cut into squares or rectangles, transfer to baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes at 400•
Variation: For something more savoury, I add salt, pepper, and sage. Alternatively, you can add grated mozzarella cheese and fresh basil, chopped. For sweet, I add cinnamon, nutmeg and a pinch of brown sugar.
