I swear THE perfect hard boiled
Medium boiling pot
1 Tsp White Vinegar
1/2 Tsp Salt
Place eggs in the bottom of the pot, add vinegar and sprinkle salt. Cover with an inch or two of cold water.
Heat pot on High until it comes to a rapid boil. Once boiling, turn off heat and cover.
Let eggs sit as burner cools for 12-15 minutes.
Your eggs shouldn't break but if they do the boil won't turn into an egg mess. (thank you Vinegar)
I let mine sit for about 15 minutes sometime longer and haven't had any issues with eggs being over cooked (and under cooked!)
Move eggs to cold water to stop the cooking process and let cool for 10 minutes.
When ready to peel, the shell comes off with ease! I like to tap my egg a few times around on a hard surface and then roll it under my palm, completely covering it in cracks.
Peel, and enjoy!!
Mmm, I just love eggs
*I only boiled a half-dozen this time but if you are looking to boil a whole carton, just use a pot that fits the eggs comfortably with enough height to cover them.
